This PowerPoint assembly is fully narrated and covers some guidance for KS3-KS5 pupils about respecting their local community. This is particularly relevant for July 2021 as it goes through the easing of the lockdown restrictions in the UK. It can also be used as a more general tutor time session for PSHE on how to show respect and be kind to others. It includes two videos and two discussion questions at the end. It is 12 minutes in length as a narrated PPoint and then it leaves a few minutes to discuss how they think they can help the local community in the lead up to the Euros, the easing of restrictions and the summer holidays.
These are all 10-15 minute sessions on issues covering issues involving racism. These have all been used successfully in delivering these important topics over tutor time PSHE sessions or assemblies.

This 15-20 minute presentation outlines some basic first aid for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. It was originally used as a PSHE tutor time session. It is based on the BBC First Aid videos which only work in the UK and includes discussion questions and no written tasks. This follows the Basic First Aid part of the new RSE & Health Curriculum and teaches students how to complete CPR, deal with bleeding and shock and bone fractures.This could also be used as a whole school assembly to improve their health knowledge and PSHE provision. Students reacted very well to this session.
This bundle contains two assemblies about first aid which covers CPR and other important emergency first aid procedures like what to do when someone is heavily bleeding. There are BBC links in one resource that only work in the UK.

This is a 15 minute end of year assembly which could last up to 30 minutes. You can use the script if you need to narrate the PowerPoint or deliver it in-person. This assembly has some videos of hope embedded, some key points of the year, how to stay safe this summer and prepare for the upcoming year. This was originally a 15 minute assembly to Year 10 but can be used for any years from 7-13 (Ages 11-18). You can add some rewards on the end specific to your group or use just this to save yourself some time at the end of the year.
This is a 10-15 minute session about domestic abuse suitable for PSHE, tutor time, assemblies or as a longer unit on domestic abuse in a PSHE lesson. It includes sources of support, types of abuse, definitions, key information, downloaded videos and has a plenary quiz. This was originally planned for Year 9 during tutor time but can be used throughout KS3 - KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18). It is linked to the new RSE and Health Curriculum and can also be used to complement the Keeping Safe in Education guidance. This has been received well by students and has taught them how to seek help if needed.
This is a 15 minute session about the Plymouth attack in August 2021. It sums up what happened and introduces what the term incel means and what they believe. It has a downloaded news clip and discussion activities about gun laws. It also connects with Fundamental British Values and the UN Rights of a Child. There is no written activities, it was originally produced for a Citizenship tutor time session in September with KS3 - KS5 (Ages 11-18 Yrs 7-13). This is suitable for a whole school secondary audience as an introduction to incel culture and the tragic event in Plymouth over the Summer holidays.
This is a 10-15 minute presentation about personal identity. It was originally a PSHE tutor time session for Year 7 but it is suitable for KS2-KS3 (Years 3 - 9 Ages 7-14). It covers what makes up an identity, gives students the opportunity to think about their own identity and includes a downloaded video so it will never disappear. There are no writing tasks, just discussion questions. It fits with the new RSHE or PSHE curriculum and is suitable for an assembly or whole school session.
This is a 10-15 minute tutor time session abour right wing extremism in the UK. It includes definitions, the names of groups and explains what the Prevent strategy is doing to try to prevent extremism. It focuses on discussion activities and includes the murder of Jo Cox in 1016 and mentions the recent Plymouth attack. There are two short video clips downloaded so they will never disappear. This can be used as an introduction to right wing extremism as part of the PSHE curriculum, an assembly for whole school secondary age pupils or can be easily added to in order to make a longer Citizenship session. It was originally a Year 8 tutor time resource for PSHE provision but can be used for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13 Ages 11-18). There are no written activities in this presentation. There are many other resources in my shop for Extremism, Radicalisation and Terrorism.
This is a 10-15 minute session about organ donation which links in with the RSE and Health Curriculum for Secondary Schools. It can be used for an assembly, a tutor time session, a whole school event or a PSHE lesson. It can easily be lengthened to last a lesson and has been used successfully with KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18) however it is also suitable for Upper KS2. It contains definitions, information, downloaded videos about what it is and the transplant process. It has a quiz plenary to ensure pupils’ understanding.
This is a 10-15 minute narrated assembly about dyslexia. It includes a short downloaded video which will never disappear and defines the condition, how it feels and the benefits of dyslexia looking at famous people with it. It goes through the problems someone with dyslexia has but also focuses on the strengths of having dyslexia. It also shows the students common misconceptions of dyslexia and finishes with an extension video if needed. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated. This was originally an assembly for Years 7-13 (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5) but it is also suitable for KS2. It can also be linked with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time resource. There are no written activities in this presentation but it can easily be lengthened if it is needed for a longer lesson.
This session is a 10-15 minute PSHE session that can be used as an assembly or as a tutor time whole school pastoral focus. It outlines definitions, the law, issues that arise, key information and sources of support. This also has a downloaded short video and includes discussion activities and a plenary quiz. There are no written activities but this can be easily lengthened for a whole PSHE lesson. This is suitable for KS4 and KS5 students (Years 10-13, Ages 14-18) and links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum.
This is a 15 minute assembly or tutor time session for KS3 -KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) which tackles the issue of suicide. It was originally a Year 10 PSHE session for tutor time. It includes why people commit suicide, what are the warning signs and what support is available to support people considering suicide or people who want to help someone else who is having suicidal thoughts. There are three short downloaded videos so they will never disappear and contains discussion activities and no written tasks. It would be easy to lengthen this issue to an hour with this resource using longer debates and written activities. This fits into the new RSHE and the PSHE curriculum and can also be used as a safeguarding session or a one-off whole school assembly.
This is a 15 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time session about grief and bereavement. It was originally a Year 10 tutor time presentation but is suitable for KS3-KS5, Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It covers definitions, different coping strategies and goes through the grieving process. It also has a slide of support for students coping with bereavement and three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear. This fits in with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and the Keeping Children Safe in Education document.
This is a 10-20 minute assembly about the important issue of homelessness in the UK. It was originally a Year 8 tutor time PSHE session but it can be used as an assembly or easily lengthened for a whole PSHE or Citizenship lesson for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). This is a 10-15 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE or whole school session which is fully narrated and designed for Upper KS2, KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 9-18, Years 5-13). It outlines:

Strategies to control your anger
2 downloaded video clips that will never disappear giving more coping strategies
Things you should not do when you are angry and things you should try to do instead
2 case studies for students to discuss as a class what the two students should do in their situations concerning anger management
How to access support for anger management (this is specific to Birmingham, West Midlands but can easily be adapted to anywhere else)
There are discussion questions and quotes to aid discussion and these can be turned into written activities if you want to make this session last a whole lesson. There are two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and it is narrated although you can delete this by just deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer. This session contributes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the new Relationships & Sexual Education and Health Education. It also highlights Safeguarding, British values and can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be adapted if needed but covers all the necessary guidance. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.
This is a 10-15 minute assembly about the recent news stories about racism in cricket focusing on the importance of thinking before posting on social media. it is suitable for all year groups from Year 6 - Year 13 (KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5, Ages 10-18) and can be used for an assembly, tutor time session, whole school, PSHE or Citizenship session. It can easily be lengthened by changing the discussion activities to written ones for it to last a whole lesson. There are two short youtube clip which are downloaded so they will never disappear. It is narrated but you can delete this by clicking on the icon and pressing delete. It covers: what the recent news stories are regarding cricket (mentioning Azeem Rafiq & Tim Paine), why we should be wary of what we post on social media or send in messages, how to control your digital footprint, how your future can be affected by your actions on social media as a child or young adult. It also shows the connection with a slide on Fundamental British Values, the UN Rights of a Child and a point of Reflection. There are links to the news and other extension activities looking at quotes which teachers can use or students can have as an extension activity on an online platform or for homework. This was originally designed as a citizenship tutor time session for KS3, KS4 and KS5 for November - December 2021.
This is a 10-15 minute assembly that focuses on the issue of stereotyping. It was originally a Year 7 (Ages 11-12) tutor time PSHE session but it is suitable for an assembly for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18). It has some discussion activities and some downloaded videos that will never disappear! It could easily be lengthened to a whole PSHE lesson if needed. It includes:

Why it is unacceptable behaviour inside and outside of school

It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 7 but is suitable for any short pastoral time with KS3, KS4 and KS5 students (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). This is a 10-15 minute narrated assembly or Citizenship tutor time session on the no-confidence vote regarding Boris Johnson on 8th June 2022. This was to inform the students about what was going on in government, teach them about democracy and give room for debate. This could easily be lengthened to an hour’s lesson by holding a more formal debate.
It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) and can be used as an assembly or part of the Citizenship, PSHE, FBV, SMSC or tutor time programmes.
